Essential Oils
After many years of research CarpBaitUK have specifically selected a range of the highest quality essential oils, all of which have proven to be beneficial as additives within carp fishing baits.
Essential oils are concentrated hydrophobic liquids, containing volatile aromatic compounds from the plants from which they have been extracted. They can be used to add scent, taste and attraction to enhance your bait and will also improve existing qualities within a bait such as aiding digestion.
Used singularly or in combinations, it is possible to give your carp bait a unique label, which is complex, in these forms they are ideal additives for long-term food value baits.
Essential oils are very concentrated and are normally used at the rate of 1 to 3 drops per kilogram of base mix. They are usually lipophilic (oil soluble) compounds that usually are not miscible with water but can be diluted in pure ethanol (alcohol), polyethylene glycol, or simple food oils before adding to the bait in order to get a more accurate measurement.
