Groundbaits The use of groundbaits is one of the most under estimated ways of catching carp. They work exceptionally well on waters containing mixed species, by first attracting small fish onto your baited spot which in turn attracts larger fish due to the feeding activity, at the same time making carp more competitive and more likely to make a mistake when feeding around the hook bait. The makeup of our explosive seed groundbait keeps carp grubbing about for long periods of time. The small particles in the ground bait get washed into the gravel and silt, giving something for the carp to return to time and time again, whilst other food items hover and lift off the bottom carrying even more attraction up through the water column helping to pull more fish down and into the vicinity of your hook bait. On long sessions carp groundbaits can be exceptional as they keep fish activity going for long periods and have resulted in many multiple captures. | | | |
